About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Analyst to join our Function based in Adelaide or anywhere in Australia, reporting to the Project and Risk Systems Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for both support and maintenance for a wide range of Project and Risk software including: Client based systems from Deltek Server based systems such as Primavera, Predict, ORACLE WebSphere, IIS/Web hosting and many more You will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal customers via a service desk.
Working across all aspects of both support and project work for the team, this role will help you build your stakeholder management skills.
Key responsibilities include: Support our Project customers in utilising our systems effectively by responding to and processing service requests in the service desk system Respond to incidents and troubleshoot technical issues as they may arise Work with the team to plan and execute major and minor system upgrades Work with our vendors to get the most out of our systems Develop and contribute to the definition of general specifications and support documentation.
About YOU A passion for helping people Strong research, analysis, and problem solving skills Strong time management skills with the ability to work towards tight deadlines Ability to prioritise tasks and work collaboratively within a team to ensure SLA's are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
Experience working on a service desk in a customer facing role.
Some knowledge of databases and database query concepts Some experience with Windows and/or Unix Operating systems Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
