About the Role: They are seeking a visionary and seasoned leader to take on the role of Apple and Pear Manager. The Apple and Pear Manager plays a critical role in driving the success of apple and pear processing operations, ensuring production targets are met and profitability is maximised. Reporting to the General Manager, this role involves managing daily, monthly, and annual production activities, including forecasting, planning, and ensuring the highest quality standards. The Apple and Pear Manager will oversee the entire production process, coordinating with key departments to meet output demands while optimising quality, cost, and timing. Close collaboration with marketing teams ensures that production aligns with customer requirements and maximizes revenue for the business. Responsibilities include managing budgets, overseeing financial forecasting, and controlling operational expenses to meet financial goals. This role will actively identify and implement innovations that enhance revenue or reduce costs and will work with department managers to maintain an efficient production schedule. The Apple and Pear Manager is also accountable for workforce development, focusing on training and mentoring to cultivate a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in packhouse operations, with deep expertise in apple and pear processing, packing, and post-harvest management.
