Our Dubbo Day Program allows clients to address issues related to drug and alcohol dependencies, without having to live-in or stay overnight. The program includes Group Therapy, education and information, and counselling and support.
Your opportunity As an AOD Group Facilitator and Case Manager, at our Dubbo service you'll engage and support your clients in their ongoing management, counselling, and treatment of AOD dependency and other associated factors. You'll advocate for them, celebrate with them when they achieve their goals, and help to develop their capacity and confidence to exit treatment. A primary focus of this position is group facilitation.
You will also be networking within the community and with potential group participants, to create awareness of the group program and promote this program to potential clients who would benefit from attending.
What we are looking for With an established background in the AOD, Mental Health or Corrections sectors, you'll offer a great attitude and passion for your work. We are looking for an individual who loves to work in a dynamic environment, as part of a collaborative team and has a particular interest and passion for running group programs. You will be a self-starter and must be able to navigate any challenges arising from a service delivery perspective in a small community.
Duties will include:
Facilitate intensive group therapy day rehabilitation programs with other co-facilitators.Manage a case load of clients, through providing support, service coordination, referral, and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals.Work with clients to develop, implement and review individual treatment goals.Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating within the multidisciplinary team and across interfaces with other health care providers.Provide pre- and post-rehabilitation support and relapse prevention planning.Engage with and develop productive relationships with relevant stakeholders.Provide culturally appropriate practice as relevant to varying clients.This is a full-time ongoing position. The salary ranges between $85,120 and $91,598 per annum plus super, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience. For the right applicant we are also able to offer relocation assistance.
You'll need to hold a Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Community Services, or similar, a current Drivers Licence and National Police Check.
