We are seeking an enthusiastic Procurement Specialist to join our team! This is an exciting permanent full-time position located in Bowen Hills. You will be responsible for the management of medium to high value and medium to high complexity sourcing and category management activities to deliver value for money through the implementation of best practice Advisory & Continuous Improvement processes.
Essential requirements for this role:
Demonstrated experience in leading complex tenders and developing and implementing supplier transition plans.
Demonstrated experience implementing contract management strategies and techniques, including strong negotiation skills and ability to successfully manage tender evaluation processes (leading to contract award for complex tenders).
Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities to improve the value delivered from every dollar spent in delivering the initiatives required to secure that value.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex customer and supplier issues, including the ability to resolve supplier performance issues; support internal customers in the development of complex specifications; and ensure materials/services are delivered according to contract.
Demonstrated experience in leading complex change management initiatives including supply transitions, internal process changes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include:
Project manage the implementation of planned procurement initiatives, utilising relevant value creation levers such as reduction in scope or standardisation of products.
Ensure standard procurement processes that comply with Queensland Health governance requirements are adhered to, whilst also identifying any opportunities to improve those processes.
Provide additional support as necessary to the Category Director, Category Manager and Service Delivery Account Managers to support the delivery of overall state-wide and regional strategies and plans.
Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with relevant key supplier and customer stakeholders to drive better value outcomes and maximise benefits.
Identify and socialise potential procurement opportunities and solutions with suppliers and customers, working closely with them to support and inform state-wide strategies and priorities.
Develop and maintain an outstanding relationship with HHS stakeholders in the region and support the implementation of engagement programs that seek to foster a collaborative approach to System procurement practice.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements:
Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in procurement and/or project management would be well regarded.
Experience in procurement relevant to a health care setting will be well regarded.
There will be a requirement to travel to Hospital and Health Services across Queensland.
