Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve delivering a range of finance-related services including annual financial reporting obligations, budget planning, performance reporting, internal control compliance activities, asset planning and reporting, financial policies and procedures development, financial system maintenance, and project management. You will also be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise in the preparation of statutory reporting including the department's annual audited financial statements.Provide technical accounting expertise in the preparation of statutory reportingOffer high-level consultancy and advisory services in relation to finance mattersDrive effective and strategic financial management outcomes of client business areasIdentify, research, develop, recommend and implement financial systems, policies and business processesAnalyse and reconcile high-level data outputs to ensure the integrity of financial information systemsPrepare complex briefing notes, reports, policy documents and communications on finance mattersDeliver training in financial management, systems and budgetary processes to finance and non-finance staff across the departmentSupport and assist the Manager, Financial Services, in discharging the duties of the business unitWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for the Senior Finance Advisor position brings proven experience in providing customer service within a dynamic environment. You have demonstrated ability to meet conflicting deadlines while maintaining currency regarding financial management frameworks, guidelines, standards and practices. Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI or other BI tools would be highly regarded.
