About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Event Manager with a strong background in communications to join a small, multi-disciplinary team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the delivery of strategic engagement and communications events, ensuring they align with the organization's key objectives and priorities. This includes planning and executing community forums, regional stakeholder meetings, and other high-profile events.
You will play a central role in ensuring the smooth coordination of all event logistics while communicating clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, helping to ensure the success of each event.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Management: Lead the planning and delivery of major events, including large-scale community forums and regional meetings. Ensure these events are managed efficiently, from concept through to post-event analysis.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders from industry, local and state government representatives, and other partners to plan and execute events.Communications Coordination: Oversee the development of event communication materials such as briefing notes, event schedules, press releases, and invitations. Ensure messaging is consistent and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.Project Planning & Budgeting: Contribute to operational plans and event budgets, ensuring events are delivered on time and within budget. Manage event schedules, resources, and timelines effectively.Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain all event documentation, including run sheets, program schedules, communication materials, and reporting documentation to ensure smooth event execution.Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with both internal teams and external clients to facilitate event success. Provide excellent customer service and support to stakeholders at all stages of the event process.Event Reporting & Evaluation: After each event, collect feedback and evaluate the event's success. Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes and identify areas for improvement.Key RequirementsWe are looking for an organized, communication-focused professional with the following skills and experience:
Event Management Experience: Proven experience managing and delivering events on time and within budget. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating and disseminating event materials such as briefing notes, press releases, event schedules, and presentations. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute events from concept to completion, ensuring all logistics are in place for successful event outcomes.Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in the context of event and communications management.Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to work well within a small, collaborative team.
