How You Will Make an Impact: In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the strategic growth of our Analytical Instruments Group (AIG), composed of our Chemical Analysis Division (CAD), Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD), and Materials & Structural Analysis Division (MSD) across the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region.
As an integral member of the ANZ Leadership Team, you will craft and implement sophisticated strategies that resonate with Thermo Fisher's mission and enable our customers.
Your contributions will also play a crucial role in positioning Thermo Fisher as an employer of choice, celebrated for its unwavering commitment to innovation, integrity, and employee development.
Key Accountabilities: Strategic Leadership: Design and implement commercial strategies to increase customer value and market share in ANZ.Business Leadership: Actively contribute to shaping and implementing comprehensive country-wide strategies to enable Thermo Fisher overall success.Market Development: Uncover and seize growth opportunities, including emerging technologies, new market segments, and new product launches.Customer Partnerships: Forge and maintain top-tier customer relationships with a hands-on approach, representing AIG in senior-level negotiations.Cross-functional Collaboration: Effectively partners across Divisions and Functions, locally, regionally and globally to drive growth across AIG and the broader business.Team Leadership: Cultivate and lead an impactful commercial team, ensuring a robust talent pipeline.
Lead commercial efficiency through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.Cultural Stewardship: Champion Thermo Fisher's 4 "I" values—Intensity, Integrity, Innovation, Involvement.Qualifications and Experience: 10-15 years of experience in commercial sales or marketing management in the life sciences/scientific industry.
Must have successfully managed complex sales cycles for capital equipment.Strategic Acumen: Proven track record in developing and implementing short- and long-term commercial strategies to realize full market potential.Leadership: Senior management experience with deep understanding of ANZ market dynamics; driven by Commercial intensity to achieve commercial success.Team Development: Experience in leading and developing impactful teams; and creating a winning culture.Change Management: Ability to drive and manage organizational change for sustained high performance; including in ambiguous circumstances.Financial Expertise: Proven skill in financial analysis and planning, including successfully managing profit and loss.Education: University degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Global Experience: Experience in a global, matrixed organization preferred.Why Join Us?
