Animation Programmer (Remote, Mid-Senior Level) We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mid-Senior level Animation Programmer.

This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious project building a gamified digital version of a 1:1 scale planet Earth, leveraging your programming skills and creativity to contribute to the development of a stunning visual experience for our Players within our immersive 3D world.

AS AN ANIMATION PROGRAMMER FOR EARTH 2, YOU WILL: As an Animation Programmer for Earth 2, you will have the opportunity to use your technical and creative programming skills to develop and refine various systems and tools that will facilitate the building of the unique visual experience of our geolocational Metaverse.

You will be working with other highly skilled team members such as animators, character artists, 3D modelers and game developers who are very passionate about their work and constantly pushing boundaries to achieve a high standard of results.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement and integrate character and enemy animations for combat, movement, and interactions in Hordes, using Unity's animation systems (Mecanim, Timeline, etc.).
Ensure smooth blending and transitions between animations for a responsive third-person shooting experience.
Work with the design team to implement dynamic character movements (such as dodging, shooting, melee attacks) that respond to player input.
Collaborate with the programming team to ensure animations are optimized for performance across platforms.
Troubleshoot and debug animation-related issues during development.
Maintain the animation pipeline and manage animation assets for seamless integration.
Skills & Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS:  3+ years of experience in animation implementation, particularly in third-person action or shooting games.
Fluent in Unity with 3-5 years of experience in game development (or otherwise highly skilled) Expertise in Unity animation tools (Mecanim, Animator Controller, Timeline).
Solid understanding of animation principles and how they enhance player experience in action games.
Experience with character movement and combat animations, including blending and syncing animations with gameplay.
Knowledge of scripting languages (C#) for animation integration, with C++ as a bonus Experience working on third-person shooter mechanics and AI enemy animations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong 3D math skills, especially related to sequence equations, principles of industry standard programs, etc.
