Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development) Casual/Vacation The Acquired Injury Support Services team within Anglicare Tasmania are looking for people with a genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities.
We are seeking like-minded individuals to join our exceptional support team who exemplify Anglicare Tasmania's values of hope, compassion, justice, and respect.
Disability Support WorkerAnglicare's Disability Support Workers provide direct care and support to clients to ensure that their individual needs are met. Anglicare works with clients using a person-centred approach to assist and support clients to live a full life. The aim is to assist clients to develop additional skills in line with their goals and support plan.
The things that you may need to work with our clients on may include:
personal care (showering, grooming, and dressing)medication administrationmeal preparationtransportpurchasessocial supportrecord keeping and reportingTo join our team you must have the following: Australian Residency status or valid Australian working rightsA Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or currently working towards one.Experience in the Disability IndustryA current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and an insured, reliable motor vehicleA current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registrationA National Police Check (Working with vulnerable peoples)IMPORTANT Successful applicants are required to have an Anglicare Tasmania assessed medical before commencement.On commencement, successful applicants will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.APPLICATIONS CLOSE: FRIDAY 12th December 2024 at 6.00pm This position is available for an immediate start and applications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
