Android Developer

Job Requirements Open to anyone with full-time work eligibility in Australia. Must be based in Brisbane. University degree in Computer Science or similar. 3 - 5 years experience, preferably in the finance technology industry. Strong understanding of Android development and its lifecycle. Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin, RxJava, Retrofit, and dependency injection. Experience with Jetpack Compose. Familiarity with APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Knowledge of the mobile development life cycle. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience with continuous integration. Skilled in maintenance work including bug fixing, change requests, and user support. Troubleshooting and resolving technical defects and optimizing performance of applications. As part of your Developer role, you will also spend 20% of your day supporting clients (about 5 calls a day). Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are required for this role. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Open and willing to learn new technologies and programs with an eagerness to stay hands-on and ahead of the curve. 40 hours per week. Desirable Experience in Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS). Pay: $88,543.26 – $110,000.00 per year
