CLIENT As a leading multinational company listed on both the ASX and SGX, our client specialises in asset intelligence services and metering solutions for critical electrical, gas, and water infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. A key division of their business delivers comprehensive oil and gas chemical testing services to utility and manufacturing industries. ROLE This exciting career opportunity is open to both graduates and experienced Analytical Chemists! Full training on the use of analytical equipment will be provided. The role offers flexible start times between 7 am and 9 am, with corresponding finish times between 3 pm and 5 pm. Offered as a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave, this position has no view to permanency. However, you will benefit from a comprehensive induction program and training led by highly experienced scientists.
The person in this role will be responsible for conducting chemical and electrical analyses of insulating media from various sources, as well as related equipment. Key responsibilities include:
Quality control of products Operation of GC-Headspace for analysis Testing insulating oils using UPLC Conducting physical tests, such as evaluating oil color and appearance Assisting in the development and implementation of new testing methodologies Calibrating and maintaining equipment to meet quality accreditation standards Providing accurate and timely data reports for analysis by various stakeholders SELECTION CRITERIA We are looking for a team player who is motivated, flexible, and shows initiative. To be shortlisted for this exciting opportunity, you will need to meet the following criteria:
A science degree with a major in Applied or Analytical Chemistry, or a related field Theoretical and/or practical knowledge of analytical instrumentation, such as GC and UPLC Experience with Waters Empower software (desirable) Proficiency in wet chemistry and physical testing techniques Strong attention to detail and a commitment to laboratory safety High level of self-motivation and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail, and multitasking skills APPLICATIONS To apply, please click the "Apply" button and send your resume with a cover letter addressing the above criteria to CS Executive Group.
