You will contribute value by utilising Rio Tinto's sourcing methodology to deliver safe, efficient, and effective total value outcomes.Your role will include:Collaborating with global and site key stakeholdersPromote and practice a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible work ethicCollect and generate information and quality data about the sources and drivers of value creation through procurementComplete procurement risk assessmentsDevelop and execute sourcing strategiesDevelop and release tender packagesEvaluate supplier proposalsDevelop and execute negotiation plansPrepare contractual documentationManage award approvals and contract execution processWork closely with other Procurement team members to align sourcing requirements with business needsManage day-to-day integration processes with suppliersAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:A commitment to safety and the wellbeing of yourself and your teamRelevant experience in procurement including sourcing, tender preparation, evaluation, negotiation and contract executionSound level knowledge of procurement processes and principlesProficient understanding of contract law and administrationProblem solving skills with analytical capabilityStrong negotiation skillsStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsExperience or understanding of SAP software, Ariba, Microsoft applicationsBachelor's degree in business, law, economics, or finance will be beneficialWhat we offerA work environment where safety is always the number one priorityA permanent position working directly for Rio TintoA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive bonusComprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate familyAttractive share ownership planCompany provided insurance coverCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitionsLeave for all of life's reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave, cultural leave)Application Deadline: 4th October 2024 (Rio Tinto reserves the right to remove job postings prior to the stated closing date)#J-18808-Ljbffr
