About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Sourcing Analyst to develop and execute tender, procurement advisory and contract management activities in support of Gove Operations. You will contribute value by utilising Rio Tinto's sourcing methodology to deliver safe, efficient, and effective total value outcomes.
You will be joining an experienced Procurement team to deliver on this exciting opportunity. Supporting one of Rio Tinto's Bauxite assets in Gove NT, you will be based in Brisbane with occasional travel to site. Your role will include:
Collaborating with global and site key stakeholdersPromote and practice a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible work ethic that promotes a safe and incident free workplaceCollect and generate information and quality data about the sources and drivers of value creation through procurementComplete procurement risk assessmentsDevelop and execute sourcing strategiesDevelop and release tender packagesEvaluate supplier proposalsDevelop and execute negotiation plansPrepare contractual documentationManage award approvals and contract execution processWork closely with other Procurement team members, both globally and within regions, to align sourcing requirements and outcomes with business needsWorking in a dynamic environment to build a high level of trust through open and transparent relationships and engagementsOperate supplier performance management processesManage day-to-day integration processes with suppliersAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
A commitment to safety and the wellbeing of yourself and your teamBehaviours aligned with the Rio Tinto values of Courage, Care and CuriosityRelevant experience in procurement including sourcing, tender preparation, evaluation, negotiation and contract executionSound level knowledge of procurement processes and principles with strong influencing, stakeholder engagement and change management capabilitiesProficient understanding of contract law and administrationProblem solving skills with analytical capabilityStrong negotiation skillsAbility to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities supporting multiple stakeholder groups whilst maintaining autonomy and self-motivationStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsExperience or understanding of SAP software, Ariba, Microsoft applicationsExperience or understanding of Rio Tinto's CES applications (Avetta) will also be highly regardedBachelor's degree in business, law, economics, or finance will be beneficialIt will also be beneficial if you have Procurement qualifications or training. Previous work history on an operational site will be highly regarded.
