Join our CIO team as a New Business Analyst. This role is a terrific opportunity for candidates with an analytical mind who are looking for a blended role where you can couple your interest in financial modelling with commercial acumen.
You will be part of a team that executes a range of high-profile transactions and will interact with the Development and Investment Management businesses and the Functions.
About the Role The CIO team is responsible for new product creation and capital raising through the establishment of new investment vehicles to deliver our development pipeline and new investment products alongside Lendlease.
The CIO team works closely with the Development Origination team to liaise with investors as well as engaging with all of the internal support functions (i.e. legal, tax, accounting, treasury and sustainability) as it executes transactions.
Sitting within the CIO team, this role will provide critical support to a variety of colleagues and help to inform business decision making through financial analysis and modelling.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to): Build and maintain the financial models underpinning the investment strategies, which may include updating the model with assumptions, running various scenarios to test different capital strategies and producing succinct summaries of the results.
Contribute to compilation of investor pitch material by interacting with different parts of the business to gather required information, create research slides etc. and understanding the underwrite.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to obtain information, whilst also building strong working relationships with external stakeholders.
The skills you'll need To be successful in this role, you will be able to work autonomously to interpret data, translating this into financial models that support the business to make key decisions.
You will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Corporate Finance or Property Finance.
A minimum of 3-5 years working as an Analyst or similar capacity within investments.
Experience and/or knowledge of financial services and property management industries, investment management principles, and relevant accounting and tax regulations and legislation.
Financial modelling and analytical skills with the ability to create, amend and test financial models and forecasts.
Previous experience preparing presentations to be delivered to a range of stakeholders.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Able to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.
