Job Description: Power BI Developer Exp Level: Intermediate to Senior Location: Adelaide, South Australia Contract Length: 6-month initial contract with high likelihood of a further 6-month extension Hourly rate: $75 - $85 Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3-4 days in the office, 1-2 days remote) About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join the client team starting January 2025, as part of a major transformation project.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to modernising the organisation's reporting capabilities by transitioning to a more advanced and user-friendly platform.Working alongside a team of 5 and reporting directly to the BI Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in defining the look and feel of key reports.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring high performance and user-friendliness.
Leverage your expertise in paginated reports to meet detailed business reporting requirements (highly advantageous).
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Participate in the overall design of the BI framework, contributing to the company's platform transformation project.
Work closely with the BI Team Lead and other team members to maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables.
Optimise and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to ensure seamless data integration and visualisation.
Provide support, training, and documentation to ensure successful adoption of Power BI reports across the organisation.
What You'll Bring: Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, ideally in an intermediate to senior capacity.
Proficiency in developing interactive and visually compelling dashboards, as well as experience with paginated reports.
Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and SQL.
Experience in working on transformation or modernization projects is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
Willingness to work on-site in Adelaide 3-4 days per week, with flexibility for remote work 1-2 days.
