Senior Program Manager - Fleet, Amazon Logistics Job ID: 2849251 | Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd
Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to help guide strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects and programs within Amazon Logistics (AMZL).
Initially, this role will focus on setting up the Fleet Demand Planning function within AU, responsible for developing a Fleet Capacity plan (working with cross-functional teams), taking channel demand signals and creating a plan for the Fleet team to meet procurement requirements. The role will also be responsible for the allocation, deployment, and redeployment programs for Fleet.
We are looking for people with experience in Capacity planning, Analytics, Program Management, and, ideally, Fleet Management. You will be working with a diverse range of stakeholders including global fleet teams, regional fleet managers, local S&OP teams, local operations leaders, and external vendors.
The role will be required to work in an ambiguous environment and must be able to influence across all areas of the business.

Understand Capacity planning models, Allocation and deployment schedules in order to build a Fleet Capacity plan, focusing on maximizing vehicle uptime and availability. Understand data analytics, build Excel models, and work with worldwide teams to take best-in-class models and localize for AU, including the build of a longer-term tech roadmap. Strategically and tactically drive and influence teams in and outside of your organization to deliver. Work autonomously, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind leadership decisions. Partner with teams across the business you support, and beyond to source, allocate and coordinate resources. Engage other Amazon business units globally, Operations, and DSP teams on standard work and best practices to improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers. Proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks). Work with program managers, business leaders, and senior leadership to communicate and impact critical business initiatives. Synchronize with third-party companies to ensure Best in Class service is provided to the Amazon Fleet. A day in the life:
Varied, however, it will scale from working on short-term plans to in-fleet vehicles within the same week, through to working with local and global teams to build new models to support the long-term requirements.
The candidate will be required to use data from various sources to build plans, identifying gaps and stakeholders to close the gaps. Will need to think about continuous improvement activities constantly.
