How you'll make a difference
Come and join us in one of Victoria's most popular regional locations. We are looking for someone to lead our dedicated and growing Statutory Planning Team – delivering sound decisions, providing excellent customer service and continually striving to make improvements to our systems and processes. If you are a statutory planning leader we want to hear from you.
Drawing on your professional experience and excellent communication skills, you will work with stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes through the planning approvals process and ensure that the requirements of the Alpine Planning Scheme, the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and other related legislation are met for all planning matters.

As an industry professional, you will have a good working knowledge of the applicable legislation and planning framework and your leadership skills will ensure the Statutory Planning Team is delivering at a consistently high standard.
You will have
A tertiary qualification in town planning or similar discipline with relevant experience Relevant experience in local government as a town planner and coordinator/team leader A theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to interpret planning legislation and practices including associated legislation The ability to provide specialist advice to your team, other staff, Council, and external stakeholders Ability to drive strategic decision-making to improve business systems and processes Belief that excellent customer service delivers better outcomes for our community Apply now
