We are looking for a Senior Statutory Planner to join our dynamic Statutory Planning team to provide a customer-focused and efficient planning service to our community.
You will have responsibility for a diverse range of statutory planning matters and Council's road discontinuance and deviation program, as well as preparing submissions and representing Council at VCAT and contributing to the continuous improvement of statutory planning processes and procedures.

You will be responsible for:
Providing quality and professional planning advice and communications to customers in a timely manner to engender public confidence in the statutory planning process Assessing, preparing, and making recommendations on planning applications Preparing submissions and representing Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Managing Council's road discontinuance and deviation process Contributing to the continuous improvement of statutory planning processes and procedures You will have:
A Tertiary qualification in town planning (degree or diploma) or significant demonstrated experience in the discipline or related discipline Extensive experience in statutory planning roles Knowledge and ability to interpret planning schemes, planning and related legislation, regulation, and policies Ability to research, analyse, assess and determine planning permit and related applications and issues Sound analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills Exceptional communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage time, set priorities, and contribute to and implement your work plan.
