You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with children and young people.Our Aim:The Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioners to provide clinical services with children and young people experiencing mental health concerns who are in out of home care. The positions available are within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).The Lead Practitioner will be part of the Out of Home Care Program and will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma informed therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical leadership to the team.Leadership training is available and provided by the Tasmanian Health Service in partnership with University of Tasmania.The role will include:Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality trauma informed mental health services to children and young people who are in out of home care.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programsWorking alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania.Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Three positions are available, one in the North, one in the Northwest and one in the South.NorthBased in Launceston CBD.The North of the state is an area of natural beauty where you will have easy access to the Cataract George, waterfalls, bush walks, beautiful beaches, and excellent mountain biking tracks.Launceston is a great place to raise children with access to some of Tasmania's prestigious schools.It is truly a beautiful part of Kanamaluka/Lutruwita.!North WestOffice is based in Burnie and Devonport.The Northwest Coast is an area of Tasmania where you have easy access to a multitude of beautiful beaches, bushwalks and other recreational activities spread across the small cities and townships that make up this region. An attractive relocation package and support for international visa requirements may be available for successful applicants.Multiple permanent full time day workerpositions working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Three positions based in the North (Launceston), North West (Burnie and Devonport) and one is based in the South (Hobart).Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annumRelocation assistance and visa support may be available for the right applicant.Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.Salary range is in accordance with Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.Current Working with Children RegistrationApplicants should note the following criteria are desirable:A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or relevant field.Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Current Driver's LicenceThe Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
