Allied Health Professional - Lead Practitioner (529953)The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for two Allied Health Lead Practitioners for CYMHS Youth Mental Health (529953) vacancies, one in the North, and one in the South of Tasmania.

We are seeking senior allied health professionals with experience in clinical leadership, complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, and within mental health or relevant/related sector would be ideal. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families.
Our Aim: The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioners to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. The positions available are within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).
The Lead Practitioner will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical leadership to the team.
The role will include: Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people, and their families/carers.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Two positions are available, one in the North and one in the South. North Based in Launceston CBD.The North of the state is an area of natural beauty where you will have easy access to the Cataract George, waterfalls, bush walks, beautiful beaches, and excellent mountain biking tracks.South Office based in Hobart City Centre.The Southern area of Tasmania is a beautiful area to live and raise children.An attractive relocation package and support for international visa requirements may be available for successful applicants.
Two permanent full time day worker positions working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
