The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for an Allied Health Professional for CYMHS Youth Mental Health program, in the South of Tasmania.
Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - CYMHS (528048) and only one position will be filled on merit. We are seeking an allied health professional with experience in acute mental health, complex case management, assessment, and trauma informed therapy.
You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families.
Our Aim: The Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing!
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Allied Health Professionals to provide clinical services with young people experiencing mental health concerns.
The position available is within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).
The Allied Health Professional will be part of the Youth Mental Health Program and will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma informed therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical care.
The role will include: Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people who are experiencing mental health issues.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including group programs.Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $106,966 - $118,114 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.
2 of 2022. You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.Current Working with Children Registration
