The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Intensive Care Liaison (CNS) is a clinical expert who acts as a clinical/educational resource for nursing, medical and allied health staff involved in the management of patients with complex care needs within the ward setting, working with other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care for patients.
The Role: The North West Regional Hospital is seeking dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our team in the ICU.
A key role of the position is to develop and maintain collaborative links between nursing, medical and allied health staff and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The CNS acts as a bridge between the skills and resources of the ICU and the ward environment, supporting continuity of care and patient flow, minimising relocation stress for patients and their families.
The CNS will identify quality improvement or research activities on a hospital-wide approach and implement appropriate strategies to improve practice.
Expected outputs are an improvement in patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, patient safety and an overall reduction in Intensive Care length of stay and readmissions.

Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agree upon date.Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working up to 56 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until May 2025.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary:$106,570 to $112,440 pro rata, per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You will have access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered NurseDesirable criteria:
