Your OpportunityThe Allied Health Mental Health Alcohol And Other Drugs (MHAOD) Clinical Educator will enhance the development of the Allied Health workforce through:
Delivering high-quality evidenced-based Allied Health clinical education services for allied health professions within the MHAODS.Providing allied health specific training within MHAODS.Supporting the entry-level workforce to obtain minimum and desirable skills.Facilitating a training, mentoring, and supervision strategy for allied health in MHAODS to guide skill development and maintenance of core competencies from pre-entry and new graduates to advanced allied health practitioners.Expanding the capacity of the allied health workforce to provide clinical education placements.This position reports operationally to the Mental Health and AODS Allied Health Director and Continuing Care Program Manager and professionally to the discipline-specific Director and Executive Director of Allied Health. There are nil direct reports.
About The TeamThe Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the MHHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age spectrum for people with severe and complex mental health problems. Our services aim to be consumer-focused and recovery-oriented and are provided in a variety of settings including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals, and emergency departments.
