We invite you to do it in a meaningful place.The role:The Allied Health Lead Policy and Projects:Is responsible for leading the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of allied health education, training and workforce development strategies and initiatives across the Department of Health and other agencies in partnership with key stakeholders. The role will research and investigate allied health education, training and workforce development issues and provide advice to inform strategic workforce policy and solutions.Works to establish and promote a positive culture of being a learning organisation and build capacity and capability in the allied health workforce through education, training, and workforce development.Formulate strategic allied health workforce advice based on research, critical thinking, and analysis, including assessment of risks, options and recommendations, and develop high-level reports, briefings, submissions, and discussion papers to inform decisions.Develop and maintain strong linkages with the University of Tasmania and other educational institutions and promote a learning organisational culture by building capacity and capability for allied health services across agencies to support pre-entry student placements and early career allied health professionals.The team:You will work alongside and guide a small multidisciplinary team of experienced policy and project consultants and a project support officer.As a member of the leadership group, you will work closely with the Deputy and Chief Allied Health Advisors.This is a state-wide role, and the team is based in Hobart. Working arrangements outside Hobart will be considered.Details of AppointmentPermanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary:

$120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications.Salary range is in accordance with

Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
