Your Opportunity: You will be responsible for working under the direction of physiotherapists / occupational therapists in order to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients in Residential Aged Care (RAC) Settings.
As an Allied Health Assistant it is expected that your time will consist of both clinical and administrative duties.
Permanent part time position available in Ballarat, VIC.
You will be responsible for: Assisting to deliver all physiotherapy services in accordance with the Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.
Servicing RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
Transporting residents to and from the therapy gym area / their appointments under the direction of the physiotherapists / occupational therapists.
Setting up and packing away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipment.
Collecting referrals and any other administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapists.
Ordering prescribed equipment.
Running exercise groups / programs.
Supporting initiatives to meet client / contract expectations.
Consulting with the physiotherapist / occupational therapist in relation to adaptations/ changes/ progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.
Participating in mentoring, supervision and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
To best support our customers, you will need: Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
Australian working rights.
Willingness to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.
Health care knowledge.
Ability to independently deliver treatment plans.
Time management and accountability skills.
Clinical knowledge.
Strong communication skills.
Drivers Licence and reliable car.
