Your new role The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) and Curtin University Research & Innovation Alliance is seeking a skilled Alliance Program Manager. This role is pivotal in driving the Alliance's initiatives over the next 12 months, focusing on enhancing health outcomes for rural and remote communities in Western Australia.
Key responsibilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and relevant stakeholders to identify research and innovation partnership opportunities.Engage and influence stakeholders to agree on program deliverables, timelines, and implementation methods while preparing business cases and project proposals.Monitor and evaluate program performance, ensuring alignment with broader goals of the WA Country Health Service.Implement a collaborative program that impacts both university and industry operations, supporting objectives set by the Alliance Steering Committee.Manage the program's budget and financial reporting while pursuing diverse income sources to grow the collaborative program.About you:You are a dynamic and strategic Program Manager with a proven track record in managing complex programs and engaging diverse stakeholders. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build effective relationships across various sectors. Your ability to analyse industry trends and identify partnership opportunities will be key to the success of the Alliance. You are committed to promoting innovation and collaboration, with a passion for improving health outcomes in regional and rural settings.
As this is a Fixed term position, you will require current work rights in Australia for the tenure of the position. Please note: Relocation and sponsorship support will not be provided for this position.

Selection Criteria:Post-graduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive management experience and proven management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.Demonstrated high-level planning, management, and leadership skills, with a strong commitment to promoting, managing, and implementing significant change.Proven business acumen with the ability to conceptualise, develop, and review organisational strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends and stakeholder needs.High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing diverse internal and external groups.Expertise in negotiation and resolving stakeholder concerns while balancing obligations and operational requirements.Ability to write clear, concise, authoritative, and persuasive reports, proposals, and submissions.Exceptional ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, navigating complex relationships with ease.Experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from ideation through initiation to completion, ensuring successful outcomes.In-depth knowledge of the Australian public and health systems, as well as the Australian higher education and research landscape.Desirable Criteria:Previous experience in a tertiary environment.A formal certification/accreditation in project management.Understanding or experience of delivering healthcare in regional and rural settings.Knowledge of research and innovation systems/opportunities in Australia.Applications close: Wednesday, 15 January 2025.
