Your role
You'll be a part of our Perth, Energy and Resources team and work with lawyers across all of our offices.
Our team advises on the leading mining, oil & gas and energy transactions in Australia. We routinely advise on high profile national and cross-border transactions and projects.
Our clients work with us because of our market leading expertise, sector knowledge and focus on providing high quality advice that adds value to their business. We have an excellent track record of advising on major projects and bringing an innovative approach to the transactions we work on. This role is focussed on supporting our growing electricity practice.
This is a part-time opportunity (0.4 FTE to 0.6 FTE), and if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you. We would be open to discussing a full time role which could involve assisting with other aspects of the broader Perth projects practice, including renewable energy project development and negotiating power purchase agreements, for the right candidate.
About you
You will have:
Experience advising on the regulatory aspects of SWIS and/or NWIS connected projects, and ideally an understanding of licencing associated with remote generation projects. Experience advising on Wholesale Electricity Market Rules and/or Pilbara Network Rules and associated policies and procedures. Access and connection experience including access codes in the SWIS and NWIS. Well-developed analytical and written and oral communications skills.
