Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Team Leader - Queensland A new 28-bed residential rehabilitation centre will soon open in the Bundaberg region of Queensland, offering detox and rehabilitation services for individuals seeking support with Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) challenges.
We are looking for a passionate AOD Team Leader to provide clinical oversight, line management, and therapeutic care within this vital community service.
This is an opportunity to lead a motivated team in delivering evidence-based, client-centered care that fosters lasting change.

$106,379.69 - $111,094.92 per annum + superannuation Permanent full time position The role will commence in December or January to support recruitment and facility setup, with the centre operational in February 2025 Salary packaging benefits up to $15,900.00!
Ongoing learning and development opportunities, with access to Team Leader forums and peer support Monday to Friday schedule with minimal on-call requirements, supporting work-life balance Key Responsibilities Manage and support a multidisciplinary team of up to 30 clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring high-quality care and service delivery Develop and implement clinical treatment and education programs using evidence-based frameworks, promoting continuous improvement Build collaborative relationships with funders, service providers, and community organisations; attend community events and network with stakeholders Oversee contractual obligations, including preparing funder-driven reports and ensuring compliance within a residential facility setting.
Promote culturally sensitive, inclusive care practices that respect clients' unique needs and backgrounds Support after-hours support workers by managing rosters and ensuring effective shift coverage Selection Criteria Credentials Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related Allied Health field National Crime Check within the past 12 months Current Working with Children's Check Current Australian Driver's License Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e.
Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).
Skills and Experience Proven experience in AOD or mental health settings, including experience leading teams in residential or community-based environments Strong understanding of cultural safety and experience working in culturally inclusive environments Understanding of contractual obligations in a residential setting and experience in reporting for funders Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders How to Apply Please click 'Apply Now'.
