Reporting to the Aviation Security Manager, the Airside & CBS Manager, is responsible for providing leadership to the ISS Placemakers at Melbourne Airport. A key priority of the role requires a focus on building and fostering a strong strategic and operational relationship with our client APAM and to support the Aviation Security Manager in the achievement of contractual KPI's. In addition, this roles aim is to effectively secure our clients assets in line with contractual agreements, provide leadership, and coordinate and support our security team in maintaining a secure and safe environment across the site.
The Airside & CBS Aviation Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:
Coordinating and developing a high performing operational team, ensuring contractual compliance and continual development are measured to achieve targets in the day-to-day operation. People management - identify, develop and retain the capabilities of key talent Be comprehensively versed in the contract service requirements and contractual KPI's to ensure consistent delivery of Aviation Security Services. Ensure consistent delivery of security services according to agreed processes that meet and/ or exceed our contractual/regulatory obligations. Be a strategic partner with our client, understand their strategy and ensure ISS adds value by liaising with key stakeholders. Establish and maintain productive relationships with other airport stakeholders. Ensure contractual compliance through frequent review and development to ensure agreed Key Performance Indicators are being achieved Ensure the security program has due regard for the needs for the needs of our passengers and business partners Ensure robust Governance of Security Contract and delivery of quality security outcomes through effective procedures, training, audit programs and a formal benchmarking process involving other airports and best practice Complete regular reporting as required and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure we are compliant with a continuous improvement focus. Ensure development of processes and programs capable of delivering best practice service performance. You will have extensive experience in the Management of a large security operation and a thorough working knowledge of the application of regulatory standards, safety systems and risk principles.
Classification: This is a full-time position and classified as salaried pay. Successful candidate will be required to work on site, in office Monday to Friday, 9-5 and on call 24/7.

Broad based general management experience - preferably in a security or aviation environment or a highly compliant and regulated industry. Management of large scale (200+), diverse workforce in a highly regulated environment Inspirational, strong leadership skills Strategic and operational planning specialist Well-honed customer relationship skills Possess well developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills Understand and apply sound business risk management skills, including those related to OHS&E.
