About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert.
Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.

Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services.
It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) to join our team in Warburton WA starting immediately.
As an ARO, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the airport.
You will be responsible for monitoring airport activities, conducting safety inspections, and providing vital support to maintain high standards of safety and customer service.

Your day-to-day duties will include monitoring and reporting on airport operations, ensuring that safety and regulatory standards are met.
You'll conduct daily airside serviceability inspections and general maintenance, cleaning, and gardening tasks as required.
You'll also be expected to promptly address and rectify any safety concerns identified during inspections, ensuring that operations continue smoothly.
Customer service will be a key part of your role, as you'll be expected to provide excellent service to passengers and stakeholders, contributing to a positive airport experience.
You will also play a crucial role in managing incidents or emergencies, coordinating closely with other airport personnel, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

About You:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious individual who is passionate about aviation and committed to ensuring the smooth operation of the airport.
You will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to monitor and report on airport activities while ensuring full compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high operational and safety standards.

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and other airport stakeholders.
You're a team player who collaborates well with others but can also work independently and take initiative when necessary.
Your proactive approach to safety and problem-solving will be key in identifying and rectifying any issues promptly.

Mandatory Requirements:
ARO Certificate CASA Aeronautical Radio Operations Certificate (AROC) (or the ability to obtain) Aviation Transport Security Card (ASIC) (or the ability to obtain) Sound knowledge of aerodrome operations and procedures A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service Ability to perform physical tasks, including maintenance, cleaning, and gardening, as needed If you are someone who is dedicated to upholding safety standards, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the operational efficiency of a regional airport, we would love to hear from you!
