What's the role on offer? Join the Alliance Airlines team as an Airport Services Manager based at Olympic Dam. In this role, you'll lead our ground handling team to ensure safe, timely, and efficient airport services for our customers. Your responsibilities will include overseeing check-in and baggage handling duties while providing guidance and support to your team.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with company safety and security standards, as well as adhering to documented procedures. Reporting directly to the National Ground Operations Manager (NGOM), you will contribute to delivering exceptional service to our clients, passengers, and crew.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all customer service activities, including check-in services, boarding, and disruption recovery. Delivery of all Ramp Services maintaining a high standard of presentation of Alliance Airlines by ensuring client ground handling standards are consistently met. Develop and maintain local procedures, provide input on improvements to manuals and training materials, and conduct Port Observations to recommend and implement procedural changes for enhanced safety and efficiency. Oversee administrative requirements including staff roster management, managing workplace relations, and grievances with HR support. Monitor training currencies to ensure training is up to date for all personnel on the airport. Collaborate directly with onsite clients, actively participating in meetings to gather insights and provide support to the Client. What's in it for me? Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and relationship-building, demonstrating flexibility in their approach and the ability to manage conflict effectively. They will possess proven experience in airport operations and be familiar with Airport Operations Systems. Additionally, the candidate should have a track record of successfully leading teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and motivating staff to achieve high levels of performance and client satisfaction.
Required Skills: Operational experience within the airport operations environment. Airport experience with regards to passenger movement and aerodrome operations. Load control experience would be desirable. Proven leadership in managing teams. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal & communication skills - both written and oral. Experience with Airport Operations Systems – AVANTIK, or similar (highly desirable). Does this sound like you?
