Reporting to the Mine control supervisor, the Office Builder is responsible for maintaining the spatial Mine model for optimal efficiency, providing technical assistance to Mine Controllers, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system support issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Office Builders assist Mine Controllers to remotely operate and control Heavy Mining Equipment in the form of large Autonomous Haul Trucks.
An Office Builder needs to be able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, dynamic environment.
Office Builders need to be safety focused, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with the Safety Management Systems.
This role will be required to work at all Fortescue sites in the HIVE.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure team members are provided with a safe and healthy work environment.Ensure company safety procedures, safe working practices and Safety Lifesaving Choices are strictly followed, to achieve zero harm and incidents.Ensure all accidents/near miss incidents within area of responsibility are reported as per Fortescue's policy to the Minestar supervisor.Escalate any Lost Time Injuries (LTI) / Medically Treated Injuries (MTI) or breaches of the Life Saving Choices to the Minestar Supervisor.Attend, participate, and contribute to the resolution of safety, environmental and Social Responsibility issues at scheduled meetings.Develop procedures and processes for Minestar inputs and processes with onsite stakeholders for spatial and mine model compliance.Ensure spatial model is updated daily to ensure accurate assignments.Reconciliation and investigation of anomalies reported by survey, geology, quality, and engineering.First point of contact for Mine Controllers regarding problem solving / changing model.Coordinate system activities with key stakeholder group and interact on an ongoing basis.Ensure that the operational deliverables consistently reach or exceed target in the designated areas of accountability.Prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently and setting goals according to realistic plans.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness by looking for ways to improve and promote quality.Qualifications and ExperienceDemonstrated experience working with Fleet Management systems such as MineStar or similar at advanced user level.Knowledge of heavy equipment operations.Strong technical understanding of fleet management and IT systems.Knowledge of mine workplace safety requirements and procedures.Willing to work shifts in remote locations.Sound problem solving and ability to work under pressure.Personable; Determined; Decisive; Enthusiastic; Honest.About UsBe part of something big.
