About theRole: StudentSupport Services works with schools and preschools to providesupport to assist them in meeting the needs of all children. Therole requires the incumbent to participate in the implementation ofa service model that supports the provision of integrated andtargeted services to meet the needs of children and young peoplewith additional needs.
The SeniorSocial Worker (Truancy) provides professional support andsupervision to Social Workers Truancy. This position works withpreschools and schools to provide proactive and targeted servicesto support children and young people with attendance, engagementand retention concerns and their families.
The rolewill support the Team Manager with the recruitment of socialworkers and provide induction and professional support, developmentand supervision of social workers with a focus on meetingprofessional and service delivery standards. The Senior SocialWorker (Truancy) is a member of a statewide social work leadershipteam and engages in professional supervision with the PrincipalSocial Worker.
Qualifications: Essential anappropriate degree or equivalent which give eligibility forfull membership of the Australian Association of SocialWorkers. SpecialConditions: Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC(Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated everythree years.

Remuneration: AHP3$102,641 - $110,094 per annum (1.0 FTE), plussuperannuation.
