(Pro Rata) AHP3 | Full Time – Contract Until June 2025 An exciting opportunity exists to join the Noarlunga Mental Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit team as a Clinical Project Officer - Senior Occupational Therapist!
Due to be opened in late 2025, a brand new 24 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at Noarlunga will offer best practice evidence-based care for consumers requiring a period of psychosocial rehabilitation. A multi-disciplinary project team is being established to develop the operational and clinical frameworks that will be required to commission the unit. The Clinical Project Officer Occupational Therapy will work in close collaboration with the Allied Health Director, Head of Unit, Principal Occupational Therapist and broader project team for Noarlunga Mental Health Inpatient Rehabilitation and is responsible for coordinating and managing projects related to occupational therapy practice in mental health rehabilitation using their relevant discipline specific skills and experience.
About the role:
As the Clinical Project Officer, Occupational Therapy psychosocial rehabilitation, duties for the role may include:
Conduct literature review and analysis of current best practice evidence-based interventions and assessments in Occupational Therapy assessment Collate resources for Occupational Therapy led assessments and interventions that will be used within the Noarlunga Mental Health inpatient rehab unit Provide Occupational Therapy specialist input into the development of a state-wide education program focussing on psychosocial rehabilitation Provide leadership and direction and act as a focal point for Occupational Therapy service development within the Noarlunga Rehabilitation unit Provide leadership and clinical input in the implementation of the model of care for the Noarlunga rehabilitation unit About you:
Passion for health service development and embedding best practice Occupational Therapy approaches into practice Demonstrated high level communication skills Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective networks with key stakeholders Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia Demonstrated significant experience in a current clinical mental health setting, preferably within a psychosocial rehabilitation setting Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
