Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Mental Health ServicesSalary $88,255.00- $102,240.00 (Pro Rata) AHP2 | Part Time 18.75 hours per week – Contract Until March 2026 Are you a Social Worker looking to make a difference in Southern Adelaide's local community?The Social Worker is responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical activities, including mental health and psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, treatment and care planning, therapeutic interventions, advocacy and liaison with other community service providers.About the role: Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Principal Social Worker, you will apply specialised expertise to the development, delivery and continuous improvement of quality clinical work and provide discipline specific assessments and interventions.
Duties for the role will include: Undertaking health promotion activities e.g.
developing and implementing educational services as requiredProviding community liaison and education to families, carers and the community about mental illness and recoveryWorking in conjunction with government and non-government agencies to effectively coordinate service provisionAdvocating for and negotiating on behalf of the consumer with relevant groups/organisations About you: Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with consumers, carers, other agencies, community services and the multi-disciplinary teamEffective written and verbal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas succinctly and logicallyAn appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social WorkersProven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.Want To Know More?
