Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve early identification, assessment, and care planning for families with complex needs and facing adversity.Provide individual counseling, advocacy, and support to parents facing challenges.Collaborate with caregivers and families to:Increase coping skills.Develop better problem-solving skills.Foster a positive outlook on their future.Help families understand where to seek resources and information in the future.Operate primarily from a CaFHS site while also working across regions, including Torrens House, a residential intensive program for mothers with babies experiencing feeding or settling issues.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating complex interventions including group work aimed at addressing psychosocial needs in families with children aged 0 to 3 years.Proven experience in working with families utilising current research and knowledge about attachment, infant mental health, and brain development.Proven experience evaluating complex cases and utilising high-level counselling and/or case management practice skills.Utilise advanced interpersonal and communication skills to foster productive working relationships across disciplines, contribute positively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, and undertake effective problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management.Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines and achieve agreed outputs whilst working with demanding and sometimes competing priorities.What WCHN Can Offer You Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia).Free Public Transport for SA Health Metropolitan Hospital Workers.Access to generous leave provisions and professional development opportunities.Support for you and your family via our Employee Assistance Program.You may be eligible for financial support if you are considering relocating from interstate or overseas.
