The role As part of a team of experienced aged care professionals, your role will involve visiting aged care facilities to assess residents using the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) assessment tool. This position will be located in or close to Rockhampton and will undertake AN-ACC assessments at residential aged care services across the Fitzroy aged care planning region (ACPR) on behalf of the Department of Health and Aged Care. These visits require travel within the Fitzroy ACPR with the potential for overnight stays for more remote facilities.
Comprehensive training and support will be provided (no prior knowledge of the AN-ACC assessment tool is required). Applicants who have been trained as AN-ACC assessors or currently work as AN-ACC assessors will be considered favourably.
On offer: Highly attractive salary – $83,640 salary p.a. + 11.5% super Sign-on bonus of $5,000 (due to workforce shortages in the area) Permanent PT position (0.8 FTE) Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm Full training provided in the use and application of the new assessment tool All technical equipment including laptop and phone Reimbursement of travel expenses Required: 5+ years of experience as a RN, Physio or OT in the aged care sector. Current, general, unrestricted AHPRA registration. Valid driver's license and reliable car. Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing environments. Willingness to travel to regional/remote facilities. Able to work unsupervised within a diverse and widely located team. Meet all Department of Health and Aged Care Vaccination requirements.
