AH64 - Support Engineering Data Specialist (Technical Assessor) The AH-64E Boeing Apache helicopter has been selected for the Australian Army and will be coming into service soon, joining our current Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) supported rotary wing fleet of Chinook medium lift and EC-135 training helicopters. BDA supports these inspiring programs with Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Quality, System Safety and Management skills. BDA are looking for personnel to support this exciting opportunity.
This position will be based at Enoggera, Brisbane, QLD.
BDA provides a range of design, modification, production, repair and continuing airworthiness services to support Defence's aircraft fleets. We work hand-in-hand with our customers to develop and deliver critical capabilities to support their mission now and into the future.
About the opportunity We are seeking an experienced Technical Assessor to support the AH-64E Apache helicopter and partner fleets. As a skilled Technical Assessor, you will apply your knowledge and experience to provide the following services for the Apache fleet:
Acts as a conduit between engineering, operational maintenance and supply chain. Communicates and works to articulate and resolve design and operational issues and concerns with Engineers, maintenance and supply chain personnel. Applies systems technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data. Assists multi-disciplinary engineering and ground support personnel with fault finding, troubleshooting and solution development. Develops in-service correspondence for continued safe operation of Apache equipment. Assists in the identification of aircraft parts, part numbers, and supports the codification process (new, foreign adoption, new foreign or amendment). Assists in identification of alternate or substitute part numbers and updates the NSN codification information. Assists the supply chain procurement process. Develops and analyses reports from both the maintenance management and supply chain management tools used at the operational unit. Required AASB Engineering Authority: Engineering staff. About you To be successful in this role you will have:
3 years+ technical experience in aircraft maintenance within a military maintenance organisation at supervisory level OR suitable experience in technical assessing in a similar role.
