With Bendigo Bank… and you. The Agricultural Analyst role is a key role within the Insights and Development team that provides timely analysis and insights for the Australian Grain sector which empowers our staff, customers, and partners to make informed decisions.
The team also manages Profarmer Australia and Australian Crop Forecasters subscription services and plays an important role in building and supporting the profile of Bendigo Bank Agribusiness division (Rural Bank) in partnership with the engagement team and our front-line commodity experts.
In this dynamic and high-impact role, you'll make your mark by:
Contributing to sophisticated research and analysis of agricultural markets and policy, to provide actionable insights on the conditions that impact the Grain sector, including our industry-leading commercial services of Profarmer and Australian Crop Forecasters. Being the Insights team's lead expert on assigned agricultural subjects and taking ownership of content and reports, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and quality of insights. Growing the profile of both the team and yourself by engaging with relevant internal, external, and industry stakeholders, and presenting to public audiences and media. Identifying opportunities to improve depth of data and insights coverage, engaging with relevant industry bodies to maintain a close connection to market trends and industry issues. Providing sector level subject matter expert input and guidance to the ESG and Sustainability team to support Bendigo Bank's climate-related goals. What you'll bring to the role Knowledge and experience within the Australian agricultural industry is essential, with experience in the grain industry preferred. Exceptional analytical skills and an ability to identify unique insights. Highly proficient with Excel and preferably other analytical tools including PowerBI and SQL. Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven report writing skills for online and marketing content. Ability to present data in user-friendly formats to a range of audiences. Demonstrated experience in an economic or agriculture-related field including experience in the research, analysis, and written presentation of economic or business insights. Ability to draw on experiences and skills developed through tertiary and prior roles in the sector.
