About the role Also known as an Agile Program Manager or a Release Train Engineer - The Crew Delivery Lead is a delivery-focused leader, vital in bringing a planned and thoughtful approach to delivery, utilising adaptive leadership and ways of working. Your key strengths of strong organisational, influencing, presentation, and communication skills will ensure your success in partnering with the crew leadership team, to successfully deliver strategic initiatives and tactical critical BAU work. You will also have the ability to manage the work of multiple teams - each with complex and cross-functional dynamics involving people, business process and technical systems change. Including, driving positive engagement and communication of delivery outcomes with stakeholders including the Program Director, Crew Lead, Crew Technology Lead, and a spectrum of business and technology stakeholders. Collaborating closely with teams both within and outside the crew, you will rely on your superior relationship management, integrated planning, demand and supply planning, and ways of working strategies to optimise flow (including reducing impediments), empower autonomy within the teams, and reduce time to value realisation. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record of delivering value in a complex agile environment not unlike the one at Bupa. You will thrive in navigating challenges, fostering positive engagement, and contributing to the success of strategic and tactical initiatives, which will shape retention outcomes for Bupa now and into the future. This area of responsibility covers both business and technical resourcing as well as associated activities. You will have focus on: Aligning Deliveryto Crew Product Roadmap: Ensure effective collaboration across multiple squads and work is aligned to deliver the product roadmap and achieve crew outcomes.Resource Engagement and Procurement: Ensure all required people (technology and business) in product and platform teams are engaged and procured in line with stakeholder expectations and Bupa processes, maintaining a proactive approach to resource management.Regular Reporting on Crew Delivery and flow Metrics: Utilise agile and lean delivery metrics (e.g. cycle time, lead time, throughput) and health metrics (crew engagement, quality, risk) to provide insight and feedback on crew performance in line with achievement of crew objectives.Governance and Controls: Establish and maintain appropriate governance controls to ensure sustainability and ownership while adhering to organisational policies and standards - whilst balancing fast, flexible flow of delivery, innovation and autonomy.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety within the product team and across the organisation.Leadership and Management: Directly manage a team of Delivery Managers and collaborate with the Delivery Chapter Lead to ensure performance management, standards and people career growth are a priority.About You To be considered for this role you will have: 10 years' experience with a focus on end-to-end delivery in a dynamic, complex cross-functional environment within agile delivery roles, program manager, Release Train Engineer, and/or key roles in transformation.Tertiary recognised qualifications in business, delivery program management, customer experience or related disciplines.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high performing teams. Be able to foster a psychologically safe environment where people can innovate and perform at their best to achieve common goals.Strong agile project management skills with the ability to operate on strategy and big picture, but also able to get into the detail on the operational aspects of the role.Product delivery knowledge, with demonstrable experience working with product teams to deliver value to customers efficiently.Experience in financial administration duties working in collaboration with a finance partner.Ability to clearly breakdown, articulate, and present complex issues and data to stakeholders at all levels.Experience and strong understanding of product development processes, lean, agile ways of working principles and delivery (eg Kanban, Lean, LeSS, SAFe, Scrum, HCD).What's in it for you As well as a competitive salary, a range of Bupa benefits and flexible working/work from home arrangements, you'll be encouraged to innovate.
