Based on the Mid North Coast, 30 min from Pristine Port Macquarie and South West Rocks.About Legacy Aggregates:Legacy Aggregates is looking for a full-time Aggregates Recycling Development and Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day management & development of aggregates recycling, production, and sales. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and business growth.This is a hands-on role for someone with high energy, determination, leadership, and self-motivation that wants to leave a legacy of growth and environmental change.As the Aggregates Recycling Development and Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our aggregates products line and will be responsible for the growth and management of a team and aggregates operation from the ground up.Key Responsibilities:Daily operation of front-end loaders, excavators, and dump trucks in providing aggregate to the crushing and screening and pre-coat plant.Plant maintenance and stockpiling.Crushing experience including maintenance such as changing screens.Develop efficient recycling operation of aggregate production processes and operation.Overseeing the day-to-day production and logistics activities, monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Operational efficiency: Ensure that operational/production activities remain on time and within budget through the development, implementation, and management of operating policies/procedures that drive plant performance, utilization, and uptime.Inventory management: Manage daily/weekly/monthly resourcing requirements to produce and maintain adequate levels of aggregates.Leading, training, and developing a team of production staff to drive productivity and efficiency.Collaborate with the other circular economy park operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.Developing business opportunities: Identify and secure new business opportunities within related industries such as construction and recycling.Develop and implement sales strategies to sell outbound products, including recycled concrete, aggregates, and other related materials.Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities.Managing financial performance of the operations including forecasting, budget, and P&L in conjunction with CFO and finance management team.Quality assurance and safety: Implement and maintain quality assurance and safety control protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel and compliance with environmental regulations.Strategic input: Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, playing an essential role in shaping the company's growth.What we're looking for:Attitude, attitude, attitude.Loyalty, reliability, honesty, and integrity.Significant experience in a depot management type role, preferably in the recycling and/or waste management industry.Financial acumen.A proven ability to build business.Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to implement, optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the recycling and waste management sector.You are hands-on, lead by example and able to engage and influence a team while maintaining a professional working relationship as a manager.You are well organized, plan for success, and able to support and drive your team towards achieving their goals.You're passionate about what you do and look to always deliver great outcomes, while identifying areas for continuous improvement.You are able to navigate through and apply even levels of attention to both the practical and administrative sides of managing a team.Qualifications and Experience:NSW Class C Driver's Licence.Work, Health and Safety Construction (White) Card (preferred).Crushing experience including maintenance.Multi-skilled operator with competencies, licences, and qualifications related to the operation of mobile plant (front-end loaders, excavators, dump trucks, water carts, and other mobile quarry plant).Demonstrated experience in crushing earthmoving plant and equipment in a quarry or similar environment.Experience in quarry products, processing, and stockpiling highly regarded.Experience in business development and hands-on approach preferred; however, attitude to learn is essential.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong understanding of recycled materials and sustainable resource recovery.Strong computer literacy.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
