Community Support Services support people in regional communities across Eastern Australia to live better lives through social and community participation, coaching and capacity building, service coordination and transport services.
We support parents, carers, families, children and adults with disability, aged people, transport disadvantaged, and small regional communities.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Community Supports is responsible for providing leadership and management of a support team delivering community-based social supports.
This includes leading a team to design and deliver new and distinctive programs and services that support the acquisition of new skills and experiences for our aged customers and people with a disability.
The Coordinator, Community Supports is responsible for the development, management and continuous quality improvement of community access participant supports, maintenance of assigned programs, implementation of support plans, and resource management including the rostering of frontline staff.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Daily leadership and management ensuring high level of quality, achievement of standards, legislative requirements, service provision, and staffing in their area of responsibility.
Maintenance and monitoring of operations systems and procedures to support the effective delivery of programs and supports.
Provide effective leadership and foster a positive workplace culture where staff feel engaged, empowered, supported and encouraged in their roles.
Ensure quality in service delivery to customers utilising person-centred approaches and in-line with their relevant funding budgets, specific support plans and risk management plans.
Ensuring that service activities reflect LiveBetter's objectives and priorities and are appropriate to the needs of the customers and community.
Monitoring and managing the budget and primary cost drivers, staff rosters, ensuring expenditure is cost effective, recorded, and adjusted as required.
Manage and maintain relationships with external agencies and liaise as appropriate to ensure safe and effective programs and supports for customers.
Assisting customers to maintain their independence in a community setting through provision of high quality, customer centred support.

To be successful in this role, you will also have these skills:
Certificate IV in Individual Support and/or Leadership, or equivalent and relevant experience.
Knowledge of government legislation, policies and procedures relating to the principles of Aged Care and the NDIS.
Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificates Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' A demonstrated understanding of person-centred approach to service delivery and safeguarding of customers.
Demonstrated understanding of budgets and service level rostering.
Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management at a high level.
Demonstrated experience in the planning, design and delivery of innovation in human services.
Demonstrated ability in time management, organisational skills and well-developed problem-solving skills.
You will also be required to undertake and pass a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, National Criminal Check and pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening).
