We are currently recruiting Sorters to join our Recycling Plastics team based in Somerton, Melbourne.
These are permanent full-time roles, working Monday to Friday on our day/afternoon/night shifts.
As a Sorter you will work on the sorting line separating the different types of plastics, remove contaminants and prepare materials for the recycling process.
Reporting to the shift supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Sorting recycled plastics materials to ensure the highest quality of materials for the recycling process.
Perform regular checks to ensure consistency and quality of sorted materials.
Maintaining safe work and operating practices and a high level of housekeeping at all times.
Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
What you will bring to the team: As our new Sorter, you will be a team player with a strong work ethic.
You will be committed to working safely and engaging with all safety processes and procedures, along with the following: Previous operation experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
Knowledge of different types of plastics and recycling processes is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Capable of lifting and handling materials up to 20 kilograms.
Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
