Fettler Weir Minerals Artarmon NSW Day Shift 5AM to 1PM Purpose of Role: Weir Minerals is looking for a Fettler to perform effective preparations of our castings. As a Fettler, you will be responsible for grinding, smoothing, and polishing metal surfaces to ensure they meet our quality standards. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the final product is of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.Preparation of castings for the next stage of the manufacturing process whilst meeting Aftercast production output.Operation of equipment including overhead cranes.Using high cycle grinder to fettle castings.Ensuring that all equipment is fit for purpose and operating correctly.Participation in toolbox talks.Flexibility in operating in other areas of the Foundry if required by management.Ensuring safe work practices through reading, working within, and signing off on SOPs, and notifying a supervisor if there are any concerns.Job Knowledge: Prior experience in fettling and/or operation of grinding and impact equipment with a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.Prior experience in operation of overhead or KBK cranes with an understanding of slinging loads.Constant carrying up to 9kgs.Why choose Weir: Be part of a global organization dedicated to building a better future.
