The After Hours Nurse Manager works closely with the Executive team to support the organisation's business objectives and ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
The position incumbent provides high-level clinical leadership, models the values of Calvary, and supports a positive and professional workplace culture.
Your main duties will include:
Coordinate and manage patient flow after hours, including planned and unplanned admissions, and liaise with VMOs and external facilities.Work with Team Leaders to manage performance on the shift; document and notify the Deputy Director of Clinical Services and Director of Clinical Services of concerns including industrial, performance, and risk matters.Coordinate emergency responses after hours, and manage escalation of concerns and feedback from patients and their families.About you Current AHPRA registrationPostgraduate experience in the public and/or private health sector, including clinical nursing practice.Demonstrated experience at a management level of a department or facility.Understanding of quality improvement and accreditation standards.Understanding of contemporary clinical practice.Ability to manage key performance indicators within budget.Experience in change management, fostering a positive workplace culture and workforce engagement.High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.Proven ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team, managing priorities and a busy workload.For further information please contact Simone Hazelman, Acting Deputy Director of Clinical Services at ******
