The role will see you provide service delivery support across GWW's services, ensuring risk is responsibly managed and the environment is protected to serve our customers for tomorrow and well into the future.
Day-to-day, you will be involved with the development, implementation and ongoing effectiveness of our Emergency Management Framework including Business Continuity, ensuring that the framework meets the requirements of the Statement of Obligations and relevant legislation including the Emergency Management Act 2013 and the SOCI Act 2018. This role will see you take an active part in organising, conducting and reviewing emergency response exercises, and completing reports to the Board and other legislative bodies. 
Responsibilities Deliver inclusive leadership practice and advice in emergency management prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. Review, evaluate and continually improve plans and policies, in conjunction with emergency response and recovery agencies and partners. Provide governance over Incident Reporting on GWW's reporting management system. Ensure that GWW's emergency related facilities and equipment are ready for use and activated at short notice. In collaboration with the learning and development team, provide all hazards training and exercises to identified staff. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in an Emergency Role within the water / sewer industry or utilities sector. Exceptional ability to influence, engage and drive ongoing process improvements with internal partners. Great engagement with key industry peers and regulatory bodies Experience in working with regulators such as WorkSafe, EPA, and local Government would be ideal. Knowledge of AIIMS emergency management protocols, working knowledge of the Emergency Management Act 2013 and good understanding of State and Regional Emergency Management Plans and Sub plans.
