Want to be part of it?Full time, ongoing position based in MorwellSalary range $58,539 - $70,421 plus superannuationContribute to community safety and reducing recidivism in young offenderAbout UsThe Youth Justice Team provides community-based supervision and a range of case management and support services for young people who are appearing before, or have been sentenced by, the Children's Court, Children's Koori Court, and adult criminal courts and who have been placed on youth justice supervised orders. The team promotes the personal development of young offenders and contributes to the reduction of crime in the community.About the RoleThis role is primarily responsible for the supervision of community work placements for young people subject to statutory orders. The position may also provide transport to young people for attendance at appointments, as required. Youth Justice Case Support Workers work closely with and report to the allocated Youth Justice Case Manager, who remains responsible for the statutory supervision of court orders.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Experience working with complex young people in a community-based settingan awareness of the youth justice system, the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and associated policies and guidelinesdemonstrated experience or an awareness of key case management components; assessment, planning, service coordination and brokerage and interventionsempathy and cultural awareness including an appreciation of different culturesconfidence in managing stakeholders, negotiating effectively to develop and implement solutions.
