The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work, health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking an experienced dynamic Adviser – Research and Reporting to join the Regulatory Strategy, Improvement and Reporting Team within the Strategic Regulation and Improvement Division in our Perth Office.

The Adviser - Research and Reporting reports directly to the Director – Regulatory Strategy, Improvement and Reporting and will generate valuable insights relating to operations and performance for audiences across the organisation. The role will support the Regulatory Strategy, Improvement and Reporting team by conducting research, undertaking analysis, preparing reports, and maintaining data integrity .
Key Responsibilities: As an Adviser – Research and Reporting, you'll be responsible for:
As the successful applicant, you will have: Demonstrated experience to undertake research, including strong data literacy, mathematical and information skills. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-working skills. Working understanding of the use of data management and reporting tools for data analysis and reporting, including use of software programmes for data analysis and reporting Well developed organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks and maintain attention to detail. Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in the offshore or downstream petroleum industry or other relevant high-risk industry and/or in a public sector environment.
