As theQuality Advisor, you will be encouraged to challenge the norm, to voice opinions or presentnew ideas. You will be responsible tochair relevant local audits and quality/compliance meetings.Pulling from your extensive knowledge in Aircraft Maintenance you will inspireoperational staff and managementto follow corporateprocesses and procedures to ensure compliance.

You will work closely with thePrincipal Quality Advisorleading and supporting MEI/BUI activity.You willbe responsible for producing, implementing, and reviewing relevant local area procedures and supporting all documented processes and performance criteria as described in the Qantas Group Management System Standard (GMS) and Qantas Engineering Maintenance Manual (QEMM).As the chosen candidate you will haveasafety first approach, the passion to drive outcomes and success,andthe ability to negotiate andeffectively influenceothers to embrace quality & safety.
You'll have – Extensive experience inan Aircraft Maintenance environment.
A sound understanding of Human Factors, Error Reduction principles & Continual Improvement philosophy.
A sound understanding of Quality & Safety Management Systems
Demonstrated ability to implement corporate processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively liaise with both staff and management.
Self-starter with ability to prioritise. Able to meet agreed timelines.
Demonstrated integrity and experience in handling confidential and or sensitive information.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to persuade managers, supervisors,peers and customers to embrace quality & safety as an essentialcomponent of good business practice.
Proficiency with internal Reporting & Maintenance Information Systems (Intelex, Maintenix) and Microsoft products, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Power Bi.
