About the Role *Fixed Term Position until the 1st of April 2026*
The Adviser, Land Coordination collaborates closely with the Land Coordinator General and Executive Director Land Coordination to deliver strategic, policy, and program guidance to stakeholders within the Strategy and Precincts group, the broader Department, and government. The role demands a proactive individual with adept stakeholder management and analytical capabilities, who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to continuous learning.
The position entails providing expert advice to the Land Coordinator General and the Executive Director Land Coordination, aiding in the formulation and communication of public policy options, staying updated on contemporary issues, and engaging stakeholders. It involves preparing authoritative technical, policy, and program advice on complex and sensitive matters, including reform proposals, often under tight deadlines. Additionally, the role includes coordinating corporate reporting for the Strategy and Precincts Group, assisting in financial reporting, and managing Ministerial and Cabinet submissions. Furthermore, it involves maintaining content for the Land Portal to showcase government land opportunities for various housing outcomes, fostering collaborative relationships within the department, and addressing inquiries regarding the group's activities.

Qualifications and Experience Mandatory Experienced senior VPS leader with a proven success working in a large and diverse organisation.Political acumen with an understanding of the processes and levers that apply to Government is essential and ability to facilitate initiatives and outcomes at a whole of government level.Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent in areas such as land use planning, economic development or public policy.
